Know before you go

  • Sumo training is a serious daily practice and not a tourist attraction and therefore you must follow the instructions of your guide at all times during the training.
  • You will sit on a flat floor with a cushion; no chairs are provided by the sumo stable.
  • You must stay still and refrain from talking to other guests during the sumo practice
  • Photo sessions with the sumo wrestlers after the practice are not guaranteed
  • All participants are required to sit on a cushion on a flat floor; no chairs are available at Sumo stable
  • Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation 7 days before the day of the start of the tour: 30% of the total fee
  • Cancellation the day before the day of the start of the tour: 50% of the total fee
  • Cancellation on the day of the start of the tour: 100% of the total fee
  • Cancellation after the start of the tour or no-show without notice: 100% of the total fee

Head to Sumo stable at Maritime High School

Watch sumo training (60-90 min. *depends on the day)

Sushi-making and Chanko-hotpot lunch at a local restaurant (60min)
